Growing up in Indiana, public service was a way of life in my family. Both my father and grandfather served in our State Senate, teaching me the true meaning of servant leadership and putting our community first. As a public educator, I am running because our children, teachers, and schools deserve better. They should never play second fiddle to political agendas. I believe the challenges we face require independent thinking and a real willingness to work across political lines, which is why I am running as an independent candidate. My campaign isn't about choosing sides in partisan debates; it's about bringing together parents, educators, and community members to focus on student success, educational excellence, and taxpayer accountability. Unlike the current representation in District 65, Sean commits to being accessible and genuinely responsive to the needs of every constituent, because real leadership means showing up and listening, not just holding office. Together, we can build a stronger future and an education system that every Hoosier can be proud of.
Every school receiving taxpayer dollars, public or private, should meet the same standards for academic performance, financial transparency, and student safety. Sean believes in choice with accountability, ensuring parents have real options and real information while public schools remain adequately funded before expanding new programs. That means investing in competitive teacher pay, reducing barriers to entering the profession, and expanding career and technical education so every student is prepared for college, the trades, military service, or the workforce.
Too many families in District 65 are losing access to healthcare services, paying more, and traveling farther for care. Sean will fight to protect rural hospitals, preserve access to maternity and emergency services, and address barriers to recruiting and retaining physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals. He will also push to expand mental health and addiction treatment in rural communities, because healthcare policy should be measured by outcomes, not politics.
Sean will fight to create better-paying local jobs, support the businesses that drive District 65's economy, and ensure taxpayer incentives produce measurable results through quality jobs, fair wages, and long-term community investment. He will champion workforce training and affordable childcare so parents can enter or remain in the workforce and local employers can find the skilled workers they need. When working families succeed, our communities succeed.
District 65's rural character, farmland, and way of life are worth fighting for. Sean will work to preserve agricultural land, including maintaining use-value assessment of agricultural land and capping annual property value increases at no greater than 2%, ensuring families and farmers are not taxed out of their homes and heritage. He will ensure local governments have the resources they need to fund public safety and emergency services, and invest in the rural infrastructure, roads, broadband, and utilities that families and businesses depend on. He will also champion policies that prioritize affordability so rural families can maintain their quality of life without being squeezed out by rising costs. Strong rural communities are the backbone of Indiana, and they deserve a voice in the Statehouse that puts their quality of life first.
The people of District 65 deserve a representative who shows up, listens, and follows through. Sean commits to being accessible and responsive to every constituent, holding regular office hours, engaging directly with communities across the district, and ensuring that every voice is heard. Good representation is not just about casting votes in the Statehouse, it is about being present, accountable, and working every day to deliver results for the people of District 65.
